Ed Perry was my professor at the Acton School of Business. He taught me that Sales wasn’t about selling, it was about customer buying. Some pain, want or need drives the customer to assess a value for a product or service, and we call that price.
Here is what Ed had to say about me in 2011:
I was Trafton’s teacher for the Sales course of the Acton School of Business. Acton teaches sales by first practicing in the classroom then sending students out to sell on behalf of companies in the Austin, TX area.
Trafton’s performance in the course, as well as outside the classroom in real-life practice, was consistently excellent. His eye for a great business opportunity, his strong people skills, combined with his ability to motivate customers to buy and peers to close the sale helped him stand out in both Sales and Sales Leadership.
He was one of the most sought-after team members in all challenges at Acton. People love working with him as teachers really appreciate his participation in the classroom.
