Tom Comberiate is one of the smartest people I know. He eats Maxwell’s Equations for breakfast, and downs a glass of Laplace Transforms to wash everything out. Tom worked with me on my Freshman Engineering Open House Project, as well as the National Accenture Technology Innovation Challenge in 2006.
Here is what Tom had to say about me in 2011:
Trafton has a unique set of skills and personality attributes that allow him to bridge the gap between the worlds of business and engineering. While working with Trafton on the Battlezone Engineering Open House Project at the University of Illinois in the Spring of 2006, I found that he deftly interacted with the sponsor while handling all of the procurement and operations aspects of our project.
My Fall 2006 partnership with Trafton in the Accenture Innovation Challenge on a grid computing solution for businesses ended successfully with us winning the competition. I believe this win was largely due to Trafton’s diligent preparation and his excellent presentation skills.
Throughout my eight technical internships and both my undergraduate and graduate studies, Trafton has stood out from all of my associates as a man of excellent character and tremendous cunning. I enthusiastically recommend Trafton to anyone considering a partnership with him.
